Hello and welcome to 2-Minute Tech Briefing from Computerworld. I'm your host. Arnold Davick, reporting from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Here are the top IT stories you need to know for Monday, December 22nd.<\/p>

From CSO Online, WhatsApp users are being warned after cyber criminals found a simple way to access the user's conversations in real time. The attack is being termed ghost pairing. Researchers at Gen Digital say no passwords or account details are needed to execute the attack.<\/p>

Cyber criminals use a fake Facebook photo link to capture your number triggering device linking this prompts an eight digit code, entering that code links the attacker's browser to your account. Users can check which devices are paired in WhatsApp by going to settings and selecting linked devices.<\/p>

Next, from Computerworld, the global server market set a revenue record in the third quarter of 2025 according to IDC, revenues hit $112.4 billion a whopping 61% increase compared to the same period in 2024 the staggering rise was fueled in large part by surging demand tied to AI infrastructure x86 server revenue rose nearly 33% to more than $76 billion while non x86 revenue jumped more than 190% to 36 point 2 billion.<\/p>

And finally, Google has rolled out a fast new AI model called Gemini 3 flash. It's a faster variant of the company's Gemini 3 model, which launched only a few weeks ago. In addition to speed, Gemini 3 Flash is said to offer improved intelligence compared to its predecessor.<\/p>

It will be available for enterprise use via vertex AI and Gemini enterprise.<\/p>
